The Beach- A poem

The beach

The sand sunk into my toes,

Tickling my feet.

The bright sun shone on me,

The humid air against my nose,

I smile and breathe it in.

The calm and gentle wind hugs me,

The clouds slowly sway.

Tears- a poem

Salty tears sprout from my eyes,

I blink them away.

They slide down my face,

Onto my cheeks.

Stinging my skin,

Sadness flows through me.

I blink again,

But they stay.

Trickling down my nose,

Onto my lips.

I swallow back tears.

Tears stream down my face,

I lick my lips.

More tears sprout,

Teardrops on my eyelashes.

Such a sorrowful moment,

Seems to last forever.

History- a poem

I can fly,

when I close my eyes.

Let go of the past,

and fly through all my memories.

Every moment is a story,

part of my history.

It all is a mystery.

Her story,

His story.

It’s all a mystery.

I fly through all my memories,

dream in the future,

dream in the past.

It’s my story,

it’s my history.

Yellow Balloon

I run in the grass,

My bare feet tickle each blade.

My yellow balloon follows me,

Bobbing back in forth in the air.

The yellow sun shines upon me,

leaving the air humid and damp.

My yellow balloon is ready to leave,

I want it to stay.

I cling tighter to the string,

My grip firm, yet gentle.

My yellow balloon tugs harder,

I know what I have to do.

I gently let go of the string,

“Goodbye Yellow Balloon…” I breathe

My yellow balloon bobs up into the air,

I wave and smile.

“Goodbye, my friend…” I whisper up to my balloon in the sky.

“Goodbye…”
